The service is available Monday – Friday from 8:30am – 5pm and can assist by providing information and guidance on a range of energy matters.

Our Project Partner

The Queensland Farmers’ Federation’s Energy Information Service for Landholders has been developed and operates with the assistance of a grant from the Queensland Government as part of the Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan.

    The Queensland Farmers’ Federation is committed to maintaining the security and privacy of all its information. 

    At QFF, we implement controls and procedures to protect any private information held in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and where relevant the additional requirements of the Queensland Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act). Personal information is defined in accordance with the IP Act (Part 2 Section 12): 

    Personal information is information or an opinion, including information or an opinion forming part of a database, whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not, about an individual whose identity is apparent, or can reasonably be ascertained, from the information or opinion. 

    QFF will collect and record personal information when required for the purposes to deliver quality and accuracy of services to the valued members, stakeholders and communities of Queensland. QFF will not use personal information for other purposes or disclose details to any other parties unless required or authorised by law. QFF implements controls to protect all personal information.  

    Collection of Information for the Energy Information Service to Landholders 

    QFF will collect relevant personal information for the purpose of delivering an accurate energy information service. Information may include name, contact number, location, information about the farming activity and relevant information relating to the query. This information is collected for the purpose of providing relevant and accurate information back to the landholder in the service call and improve QFF services to its members, landholders and Queensland agriculture. QFF will use the information collected to provide de-identified broad service access statistics and agriculture sector insights to the Queensland Government to improve energy initiatives and policies. 

    Disclosure of Information 

    Only where required, QFF will first seek an individual’s permission to refer a call to a third party organisation such as energy experts or government agencies for the purpose to improve the service delivered. In this event, QFF will seek the individual’s permission to disclose their personal information to the third party and only to the extent that is necessary to provide the required service assistance.  

    QFF will not disclose personal information for any other purpose unless required or authorised by law. 

    Data Security 

    EISL service information is stored securely and protected from unauthorised access, misuse, or disclosure. QFF staff will handle information with the utmost confidentiality and respect for landholder privacy. 

    Access and Correction 

    Individuals have the right to contact QFF to request to delete personal information relating to themselves and the services received by QFF at any time or to request corrections if necessary. In the event that individuals would like to contact QFF to access or update their information QFF’s contact details are available at the QFF website.
