The Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) has welcomed the election of Michael McCormack as leader of the National Party and appointment as Deputy Prime Minister, and thanked outgoing Nationals leader Barnaby Joyce.
QFF President Stuart Armitage congratulated the New South Wales Member for Riverina, Michael McCormack on his appointment to lead The Nationals and becoming the new Deputy Prime Minister.
“QFF and industry members look forward to the constructive relationship we experienced with the former Deputy Prime Minister and his office continuing with Mr. McCormack at the helm of the National Party.”
