Join Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) CEO Jo Sheppard and special guest ACCIONA Energia Business Developer Manager Gavin Lee who will discuss “Land access for Renewable Energy developments from a project developer perspective”.
Queensland is well placed to be a strong renewable energy powerhouse with an abundance of sunshine and wind. Since 2015 Queensland has grown from 7% to over 20% renewable energy generation with the target to reach 50% by 2030. With increasing interest in the development of renewable energy projects, an increasing number of landholders are considering hosting developments on their property.
ACCIONA is one of the largest renewable energy developers in Australia and is currently building the 1,026MW MacIntyre Wind Farm in the Southern Downs and Goondiwindi regions, the largest wind farm project in Australia.
Gavin will talk about how ACCIONA work with landholders and communities to plan and develop renewable energy projects.
