In 2023, Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) announced Sparke Helmore as one of it’s newest Corporate Partners. Founded over 140 years ago in the Hunter Valley, Sparke Helmore has built strong connections to agribusinesses throughout regional Australia and see the partnership with QFF as a way to help build a strong future for Queensland agriculture.
Sparke Helmore’s collaboration with QFF began soon after Partner Kylie Wilson joined the firm’s Corporate & Commercial team in Brisbane. With over 20 years of experience working with agricultural and family businesses, Kylie has many business clients in their third and fourth generation. One of her key specialities is ensuring that these businesses can remain viable without the risk of litigation devolving business assets. Kylie also works closely with advisors to prepare compliant solutions for a range of clients who need assistance with complex structures, as well as rural and business clients and families with diverse dynamics.
Kylie is a recognised succession planning law expert, an accredited SMSF Specialist Advisor and an accredited Family Business Advisor. She is listed in the Best Lawyers Australia 2021 to 2024 editions in the category of Wealth Management/Succession Planning Practice, Trusts and Estates, and Commercial Law.
At Beef 2024, Consultant, Tim Ferrier will be representing Sparke Helmore Lawyers on behalf of Kylie . Tim is an experienced commercial and property lawyer and has acted in a significant number of substantial transactions. He advises clients on acquisitions and disposals of commercial and rural property, leasehold land advice, partnership agreements and re-arrangements, share farming agreements, taxation and stamp duty, and water law.
Together, Kylie and Tim work collaboratively in relation to the various interests of their respective clients.
