- The Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) has engaged with more than 200 farm businesswomen to gauge their leadership aspirations and professional development needs. For more information about the project and the initial findings, see HERE.
- Reef Extension Graduate Kate Armstrong recently joined her fellow graduates on a journey up the Queensland coast, visiting various locations throughout the Great Barrier Reef catchments and learning about the regions’ diverse agricultural industries. Read the story HERE.
- Reef Extension Graduate Erin Baldwin describes her experience working with the Fitzroy Basin Association Inc. and the valuable insights she has gained into the cumulative impacts affecting water quality on the Great Barrier Reef HERE.
- Lockyer Valley vegetable and herb grower Bare Essentials has been working with the Queensland Agriculture Workforce Network (QAWN) to identify and implement a variety of government programs aimed at assisting employment and workforce planning. More HERE.
- The School to Industry Partnership Program (SIPP) was busy engaging with school students of all ages and their teachers to highlight the importance of agriculture and the role it plays in the lives of all Australians during Beef Week 2018. Details HERE.
- 31 schools across Queensland have been selected to participate in the Agribusiness Gateway to Industry Schools Project encouraging partnerships between schools, training, universities and industry to provide career opportunities for young people. Learn more about the Project HERE.
