UQ Skills, in collaboration with the QFF-led Rural Jobs and Skills Alliance (RJSA), recently launched a Farm Business Management special edition, for women, by women, which attracted a significant number of women across Queensland seeking business management skills to incorporate into their personal, family, and rural businesses.
To date, the program has seen 60 women enrolled across Queensland.
During the program many attendees shared their stories of the difficulties they have experience in not only male-dominated family business, but also the mental health challenges many farm business owners and workers face in rural Australia.
After completing the program, graduates will become part of a post-program mentorship program where they will continue to network, share their challenges and successes, and receive mentoring from industry leaders and facilitators.
The program is still accepting enrolments for all deliveries which includes a second Gatton delivery and for new delivery locations on request (subject to numbers). People can enrol directly online or contact UQ Skills for further delivery dates and locations here: https://skills-training.uq.edu.au/farm-business-management-skill-set-special-edition.
