The Energy Savers Plus Extension Program is part of the Queensland Government’s $2 billion affordable energy plan and aims to assist agricultural businesses identify and realise energy savings and productivity improvements.
As a business selected to participate in the energy audit program, please find information below that outlines the process you will follow throughout the duration of the program.
A Type 2 Energy Audit is the standard model for a site wide energy audit. It involves a comprehensive review and analysis of the potential energy saving opportunities and guidance as to where investment should be undertaken.

The project timeline has 100% of the audits completed by the end of March 2020. Your Industry Case Officer will work with you over the coming months to establish a time that suits both an auditor and your business.
The project team has a list of auditors that are known to us and are familiar with the agricultural sector. Your Industry Case Officer will work with you to select the most suitable one.
As mentioned above, the project team has a list of auditors they have worked with before and know to be familiar with the energy requirements for agricultural businesses. If however, you have an energy efficiency specialist you have worked with previously who is familiar with your business and qualified to complete the audit, please contact your Case Officer and to discuss whether they might be a suitable option.
