The Queensland Farmers’ Federation (QFF) is encouraging farmers to book their ticket for next week’s Food Leaders Australia (FLA) Intensive Ag conference in Dalby on Wednesday 28 February 2018.
The conference will bring together farmers and representatives from the beef, pork and poultry industries to explore a range of topics, including social license to operate, waste management, planning, government services and facility construction.
QFF President Stuart Armitage encouraged farmers to attend to hear from a wide range of speakers and to have their say about the future of intensive animal industries.
“As the peak advocacy body representing the state’s chicken meat, pork and egg industries, QFF is proud to be a conference partner and commend FLA for pulling the event together,” said Mr. Armitage.
“The conference will give the state’s intensive animal industries the opportunity to come together to discuss and tackle common problems.”
“This event is a must-attend for intensive animal farmers, finance advisors, operators, input suppliers, governments and exporters.”
“The intensive animal industries are big employers and drivers of regional economies, and with the global demand for protein continuing to increase, they have a bright future.”
“Sharing knowledge and experiences, and effectively collaborating to strive for the right policy settings will help these industries fully capitalise on the opportunities ahead.”
The Intensive Ag Conference will be held on Wednesday 28 February – 1 March 2018 with registration closing Monday 26 February.
