General Manager Water and Energy at Queensland Farmers’ Federation
Alicia Kennedy is QFF’s General Manager for Water and Energy. In her role with QFF Alicia works with state and national peak agricultural bodies, other industries, service providers and government to enhance water and energy solutions for the agriculture sector.
As General Manager for Water and Energy, Alicia oversees QFF’s member services and industry representation to enhance water and energy affordability, security and sustainability for Queensland agriculture. Alicia engages extensively with state and national peak agricultural bodies, other industries, service providers and government regarding the barriers and inefficiencies in the energy and water systems, and develops practice solutions to support the continued viability, efficiency and sustainability of the agriculture industry.
For water, QFF works with Queensland irrigator groups and state and national water policy experts to addresses barriers and inefficiencies in water management and create solutions for efficient, affordable and reliable water supply, in balance with the needs of the environment. Water is essential to the continued viability, efficiency and sustainability of the agriculture industry and a strong future of food, fibre and foliage production in Queensland.
