- The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries has launched its drought assistance campaign to help bolster preparedness and business resilience for a broad range of Queensland primary producers. - Last month QFF officially launched Ag Jobs Queensland, a one-stop portal for connecting employers and prospective employees across the Queensland agriculture supply chain. - A Gippsland dairy calf named Happy, who was born with a distinct smiley face on his coat, has been sold for $10,000. The proceeds will be donated to the ongoing redevelopment of the West Gippsland Hospital. See Happy here.
- What does a weather service for water quality look like? The CSIRO recently launched AquaWatch Australia, a world first ground-to-space water quality monitoring system. The system will provide near real-time updates, predictive forecasting, and early warning alerts for harmful events such as toxic algal blooms. Learn more here.
