The Back to Work program continues to support employers, employees and jobseekers through the recent launch of the Growing Workforce Participation Fund on 11 March 2022. The Back to Work program is asking industry groups to focus on the future of their industry, explore new ways attracting workers and provide jobseekers with new pathways and opportunities.
Industries facing workforce shortages and jobseekers experiencing extended periods of unemployment will both benefit from the Growing Workforce Participation Fund.
One-off grant funding of $20,000 up to $200,000 is available for industry projects that will:
- provide new, innovative solutions to industry specific employment concerns
- facilitate industry-led solution to employment shortages and retention challenges
- provide greater industry-specific support for disadvantaged and target groups.
This is an exciting opportunity for industry to explore new ways of addressing local employment and retention issues, supporting long-term unemployment, workforce attraction for target groups that experience disadvantage in the workforce.
Applications open 28 March 2022 and close 9 May 2022.
